We have all been hearing about a new pub/bar opening on Eccy Rd and thought yes another small cask/keg place to drink, Eccy Rd is very long and its quite a walk from Portland House to Beer House/Porter Brook so nice to have this pub between them.
I got a mail saying why not pop down on Thursday before we open on Friday to see what we look like, a offer I couldn’t resist and after work I popped down, its very close to Tesco and those shops round there and you cannot miss the large car park, the pub is on the corner with the windows covered in the pub/bar signs and once inside I was greeted with a lovely setup of nice furniture and walls covered in pictures and odd items.
The bar is at the back of the pub and has 5 cask ales and 8 keg lines, to the left is a beer board of what is on and the strength and price, something I like to see.
There is a selection of Brew Foundation ales as this is their pub and is run by father and son, also a good selection of guest ales, and they kept me in there for a good 3 hours, this is my kind of pub, selection is always important. Then also if you fancy something different they have a good bottle range, and I am sure they said about 100+ bottles.
