This pub is My No 2 in Pub of the Year 2016
This pub is on Gibraltar Street and is very easy to get to from Kelham Island Tavern, you walk onto the main road and cross over the pub is up the side street. From the other end it is just past the fire station museum at West Bar.
A new pub has appeared across the road now – The Bar Stewards and I shall be doing a review for them shortly.
Another pub with no music so you can hear yourself talk and they serve sandwiches at the end of the bar, the famous 70p ones.
There are 4 seating areas, there is one near the bar as you walk in, then another to the left as you walk past the bar, the next is round the other side of the bar that leads into another area which has a dart baord and alot of beer clips stuck to the wall. The beer garden is to the back of the pub with plenty of tables and chairs.
Ales wise there are 9 to choose from and they have a nice variety, the stronger ones % wise tend to be in this pub, they also have a keg line as well, they often feature certain breweries on all their pumps.
