The British Oak

Yesterday I was over at Mosborough checking out some new pubs and this pub has been on my “visit list” for a while so I took the chance to visit during the beer festival and I was pleasantly surprised how nice this pub was.

Easy to get to as its on the main road and plenty of buses go past. I walked from Mosborough pubs to this location.

You cannot miss this pub as the name is on the side of the building, I guess you can spot it from the moon (only kidding)

Once inside this pub I am met by large wooden beams and plenty of seating area scattered round the pub, plenty of eating area and the food was flowing, background music was playing and I am sure I didnt see any tv screens, this is definitely a food pub.

There were 6 ale pumps, hard to say what they normally have on as it was the beer festival and another visit is on the cards to see what they do serve.

Their first ever been festival was very good, not sure what to expect but when Blue Bee and Double Top breweries were providing the equipment and beer and Tom from beer Engine providing the keg beers we were in for a treat, I did try a few of them, I hope they do more beer festival as they have the right sized car park to do this. Beer festivals in pubs is the way forward in 2016/17 and beyond.

A google map is here so you can see where the pub is.
